FARM NEWS:

PGCH Fir Meadow Xplorer

"We are thrilled to announce that Xplorer is now a Permanent Grand Champion. He passes his beauty and style on to his babies. It has been very exciting to watch him mature and develop as an outstanding herdsire."

The Dorpers have arrived!!! Actually they arrived a year ago but we wanted to see how they would perform on our farm, and are we impressed! For those of you who are not familiar with sheep, Dorpers are a meat breed of sheep that sheds the fleece. We have found our ram to cross well with our other breeds and improve our lamb crop. If you have any interest in purchasing lambs (purebred or crossbred) please let us know.

The Summer Gathering Pygmy Goat Show is now history. Everyone had a great time. Next year the show will return to a September date. Under our second judge of the day Old Orchard goats had a nice showing. Fir Meadows Explorer was SR & GR CH buck, Old Orchard Mazie was JR CH and RS GR, Old Orchard Fairie was RS SR.
